マーケティング用語

A/B TestingA/B Testing

A controlled experiment comparing two variants (A and B) to determine which performs better on a defined metric. Widely used in landing page optimization, email marketing, and ad copy testing. Requires sufficient sample size and statistical significance before drawing conclusions.

Buyer PersonaBuyer Persona

A semi-fictional representation of an ideal customer, built from real customer research and data. Personas define demographic details, job role, goals, challenges, and buying behavior. Used to align marketing, product, and sales around a shared understanding of who the customer is.

CPAC-P-A

Cost Per Acquisition. The average cost to acquire one conversion (lead, sale, signup, etc.). CPA = Ad Spend ÷ Conversions. A key efficiency metric for evaluating marketing channel performance. Should always be benchmarked against LTV.

CRMC-R-M

Customer Relationship Management. A system for managing all interactions and relationships with customers and prospects. Centralizes contact data, communication history, deal pipeline, and customer behavior. Salesforce, HubSpot, and Pipedrive are popular CRM platforms.

CTAC-T-A

Call to Action. A button, link, or text element that prompts a user to take a specific next step—book a demo, download a guide, start a free trial. Effective CTAs are specific, benefit-oriented, and visually prominent.

CVRC-V-R

Conversion Rate. The percentage of website visitors who complete a desired action (form submission, purchase, download, etc.). CVR = Conversions ÷ Sessions × 100. A key indicator of landing page and funnel effectiveness.

Content MarketingContent Marketing

A marketing strategy focused on creating and distributing valuable, relevant content to attract and retain a clearly defined audience. Unlike direct advertising, content marketing builds trust and authority over time. Includes blog posts, white papers, videos, webinars, and case studies.

E-E-A-TE-E-A-T

Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness. Google's framework for evaluating content quality in its Search Quality Rater Guidelines. Particularly critical for YMYL (Your Money or Your Life) content about health, finance, and safety.

KPIK-P-I

Key Performance Indicator. A quantifiable metric used to evaluate how effectively a business is achieving its objectives. Marketing KPIs typically include lead volume, CVR, organic traffic, and CPA. KPIs should be tied directly to business goals, not just activity.

LTVL-T-V

Lifetime Value (or Customer Lifetime Value / CLV). The total revenue a business expects to earn from a single customer over the entire duration of their relationship. LTV is the denominator against which acquisition cost (CPA) is measured. Higher LTV allows higher sustainable acquisition investment.

Marketing Automation (MA)M-A

Software platforms and processes that automate repetitive marketing tasks—email sequences, lead scoring, behavioral triggers, and campaign management. HubSpot, Marketo, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud are leading platforms. Enables personalized communication at scale.

MEO (Map SEO)M-E-O

Map Engine Optimization. The practice of optimizing a local business's presence to appear in Google Maps search results—specifically the "Local Pack" (3 business listings shown for local searches). Critical for location-based businesses like restaurants, clinics, and retail stores.

ROASR-O-A-S

Return on Ad Spend. Revenue generated for every dollar of advertising spend. ROAS = Revenue from Ads ÷ Ad Spend × 100. Unlike ROI, ROAS considers only advertising cost, not total costs. A key metric for evaluating paid media efficiency.

ROIR-O-I

Return on Investment. A measure of the profitability of an investment. ROI = (Profit from Investment - Cost of Investment) ÷ Cost of Investment × 100. Used to compare the efficiency of different marketing investments and business decisions.

SEOS-E-O

Search Engine Optimization. The practice of improving a website's visibility in organic search engine results through content quality, technical optimization, and link acquisition. Drives sustainable traffic without ongoing per-click costs.

AI・開発用語

APIA-P-I

Application Programming Interface. A defined set of rules enabling software systems to communicate with each other. Web APIs (typically REST) allow different applications to exchange data over HTTP. APIs power integrations between modern software systems.

Agile DevelopmentAgile Development

An iterative software development approach that prioritizes delivering working software in short cycles (sprints), adapting to changing requirements, and continuous collaboration. The Agile Manifesto (2001) defines its core values. Scrum and Kanban are the most widely used frameworks.

CI/CDC-I / C-D

Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery/Deployment. CI/CD pipelines automatically test, build, and deploy code changes, enabling teams to release software faster and with fewer errors. GitHub Actions, CircleCI, and Jenkins are popular CI/CD tools.

Cloud ComputingCloud Computing

On-demand delivery of computing resources (servers, storage, databases, networking) over the internet. AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure are the three major providers. Key benefits include reduced upfront capital, elastic scaling, and global reach.

Core Web VitalsCore Web Vitals

Google's set of user experience metrics used as a search ranking signal. Comprises LCP (Largest Contentful Paint), CLS (Cumulative Layout Shift), and INP (Interaction to Next Paint). Optimizing these metrics improves both user experience and search rankings.

DX (Digital Transformation)D-X

Digital Transformation. The process of using digital technologies to fundamentally change how an organization operates, delivers value, and competes. Distinct from simple digitization—DX involves transforming business models, culture, and processes, not just replacing paper with software.

DockerDocker

An open-source platform for building, shipping, and running applications in containers. Containers package code and dependencies together, ensuring consistent behavior across development, testing, and production environments. Solves the "works on my machine" problem.

LLML-L-M

Large Language Model. A deep learning model trained on massive text datasets capable of generating, translating, summarizing, and reasoning about text. GPT-4, Claude, and Gemini are leading examples. Forms the foundation of modern AI applications.

MicroservicesMicroservices

An architectural approach where an application is built as a collection of small, independently deployable services, each responsible for a specific business function. Services communicate via APIs. Contrasts with monolithic architecture. Used by Netflix, Amazon, and Uber at scale.

Next.jsNext.js

A full-stack React framework developed by Vercel. Provides server-side rendering (SSR), static site generation (SSG), and the App Router for building high-performance web applications. Standard choice for production React applications requiring SEO and performance optimization.

Prompt EngineeringPrompt Engineering

The practice of designing and optimizing prompts (inputs) to large language models to achieve desired outputs. Effective prompting can dramatically improve LLM output quality for the same model. Key techniques include few-shot examples, chain-of-thought reasoning, and system prompts.

RAGR-A-G

Retrieval-Augmented Generation. A technique that enhances LLM responses by retrieving relevant documents from a knowledge base and including them as context in the prompt. Enables AI to answer questions based on proprietary or up-to-date information not in the model's training data.

SaaSSoftware as a Service

Software as a Service. A software delivery model where applications are hosted in the cloud and accessed via the internet on a subscription basis. No installation required. Examples include Slack, Salesforce, and Notion. Dominant model for modern business software.
